With its huge play rate, the Sun Disk archetype completely polarized the meta around itself – if your deck doesn’t do well against it, it will not perform. Sivir Demacia, however, loses a lot of its win rate because of its difficult Sun Disk matchup. Pantheon Yuumi and Scouts seem to have lost some of their fire, and the jury is still up on whether or not they will keep their Tier 1 status.
While they aren’t making too much noise right now as players turned their focus to what is new, Yordles in Arms decks still perform amazingly well. If the number of Sun Disk goes drastically down Darkness could very well make a comeback as the power level still is there, but in such a hostile meta it loses its spot on the tier list. The archetype gets demolished by the numerous Landmark-based decks on the ladder right now.

One deck that massively suffered on this day one of the patch is Darkness. Aphelios Viktor, as well as other Aphelios decks, tend to be complex to master, so there might be a lot more to it than what it currently shows. Taliyah Ziggs and Riven Viktor are two great examples of decks benefiting from SUn Disk’s popularity. However, with a respectable 51% win rate, it still does well enough to make it into Tier 2, which is impressive considering how much the meta is geared to beat it. Because of that, Sun Disk currently does not perform well enough to be called a Tier 1 archetype despite its high popularity. The whole ladder meta is already entirely built around it, with numerous playing as many landmark removals as they can.
